I made this painting in a challenging process, mainly using my not dominant hand by creating the scenery, while I used my dominant hand to refine it. It is a way of creating that I really enjoy.
The painting represents a vast, spacious world, with joyful, silent beauty. A world in which we can get lost if we want to. ‘Where we are’ is where time stands still.
Voor dit schilderij ging ik een uitdaging aan door voornamelijk mijn niet dominante hand te gebruiken, en alleen mijn dominante hand om het te verfijnen. Een aangename werkwijze die verrassingen kan brengen!
Dit schilderij verbeeldt een weidse, ruime wereld, met in de diepte een aangenaam stille schoonheid. Eigenlijk ook een wereld waarin je kunt verdwalen, als je wil, waar de tijd stilstaat.
